Welcome to AntiqueDealer.co.uk — a UK-based online marketplace connecting antique dealers (“Vendors”) with buyers (“Customers”). By using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including Vendors and Customers. Your use of the platform constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Our Role

AntiqueDealer.co.uk acts as an intermediary, providing a platform where Vendors list antiques and Customers can purchase them. We are not a party to any sales contract between Vendors and Customers.

3. Buyer Terms

3.1 Purchasing Items

When you buy an item:

• You are entering into a direct contract with the Vendor.

• Prices include VAT where applicable.

• You must provide accurate delivery and contact details.

3.2 Returns and Cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

• You have a 14-day cancellation period from the day after you receive your item.

• You must notify the Vendor directly to initiate a return.

• Return postage is typically the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described.

3.3 Disputes

We offer basic dispute mediation. Contact us at support@antiquedealer.co.uk and we may assist, but we are not liable for the outcome.

4. Vendor Terms

4.1 Registration & Accounts

Vendors must:

• Be legally entitled to trade in the UK.

• Ensure items listed are accurately described and legally sellable.

• Maintain up-to-date contact and payout details.

   

• 4.2 Sales & Commission

  • We charge a 10% commission on each successful sale.

  • Payments are processed via Stripe, PayPal, or bank transfer, depending on the Vendor’s chosen payout method.

  • Vendors must ensure they have an active account with their selected payment provider.

  • Processing fees may be deducted by the payment provider (e.g., Stripe or PayPal) and are the Vendor’s responsibility.

  • Payout schedules and fees are subject to the terms of the respective payment provider.

 

 

4.3 Prohibited Items

You must not sell:

• Counterfeit or fake items

• Goods containing ivory, endangered species, or banned materials

• Items with hate speech, Nazi memorabilia, or illegal content

4.4 Delivery

• Vendors are responsible for shipping items securely and in a timely manner.

• Delivery arrangements must be clearly stated in the product listing.

4.5 Returns

Vendors must comply with UK consumer law and honour the 14-day return window unless an exemption applies.

5. General Platform Terms

5.1 Account Conduct

You agree not to:

• Misuse the website

• Upload offensive or infringing content

• Impersonate others

5.2 Intellectual Property

• Vendors retain copyright of their own listings.

• By uploading content, Vendors grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it on the site and in marketing.

5.3 Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Breach these terms

• Sell prohibited items

• Generate repeated customer complaints

6. Liability

We are not responsible for:

• The authenticity, quality, or legality of listed items

• Delivery failures or delays

• Disputes between Vendors and Customers

Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notice.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
